EQR, LLC has been managing and controlling invasive species since 1997 in Maryland. We are licensed to treat invasive plants in forests and aquatic environments. These certifications allow EQR to help promote ecosystem restoration projects at any level of the natural landscape.
Having a management plan for invasive species control is essential for successful reforestation and stream projects. If not managed, invasive species can take over a site, out-competing desirable native species before they can become part of a self-sustaining balanced ecosystem. EQR employees are licensed to apply herbicides as a focused invasive species management plan, or as an integral part of a long-term maintenance program for installed plantings.
When presented with the option to use mechanical control or herbicides, EQR will opt to mechanically control invasive plant species if it is an economically viable method, rather than to use herbicides.
